OIR Series Overview
Similar to ACR, the OIR consists of a DU and one or more SUs that are connected via a hub or an OMU. However, in the OIR case, SUs are placed indoor, covering difference spaces within a floor (see figure). The DU is mounted outdoor on the wall of a building, on rooftop, or on a street pole. Each SU is equipped with a broad-beam non-switchable antenna, sufficient to provide room coverage. The antenna characteristics (e.g., HPBW, gain, etc.) can be customized to fit different room sizes. Collectively, the SUs can be viewed as a distributed active antenna (DAS), but with up/down IF/RF conversion capability and analog frontend. The electronic components within the DU and SUs are similar to those used in the RAR and ACR series. Both wall-mount, ceiling mount housings and optical fiber connection are available.
